http://vimeo.com/137625468 This video is the beginning of a long term chemistry project involving metal crystals. It takes from a few hours to a couple of days to generate a crystal.
Cape Town-based artist Danielle Clough embroiders portraits of friends and loved ones, adapting black and white images of subjects into multi-colored works. By working from black and white images the resulting works are not tied to the colors present in the original images, creating vibrant pieces that feature bright oranges, purples, and blues.
Official music video for De Staats Witch Doctor taken from the album ICON. http://vimeo.com/140161428 The concept is simple: Dutch rock band De Staats lead singer, Torre Florim, stands in the center of a throng of shirtless men, who seem obey his thoughts like a mindless horde of zombies. The effect is surprisingly exhilarating.

Usually people describe staring at a spinning pottery wheel as being somewhat hypnotizing, not staring at ceramic artworks themselves. But such is the case with these uncanny pieces by Matthew Chambers (previously) who continues to push the limits of his concentric stoneware vessels. Every visible layer in his sculptures is individually crafted on a wheel before Chambers assembles them, with a single piece containing dozens of objects.
Visual artist Noell Osvald (previously) creates startlingly bold works through simple gestures all performed in black and white. The self-portraits rarely show the 25-year-old artists face, instead expressing emotion through the way she tilts her head or slightly crooks her neck. Emphasizing line, her works incorporate a strict horizon or eliminate it altogether, segmenting the image from left to right.
Milan-based designer Andrea Minini (previously) just shared his third series of animal illustrations where he challenges himself to create the familiar forms of mammals, birds, and fish using the effect of moir patterns. For this latest series Minini used only two lines that are repeatedly scaled or rotated to make each creature.
